By reading The Price Audit you agree to these terms. They exist to be clear about what our reviews are — and are not.

What our reviews are

We publish research-based analysis of publicly available product information: specification sheets, manufacturer documentation, retailer listings, pricing and published owner feedback. Where we have not used a product ourselves, the page says so explicitly ("Research-based"). We do not describe hands-on experience we have not had.

Editorial independence

Brands cannot pay for a score, a ranking, a placement or a mention. Affiliate commissions do not influence conclusions. How we score is published on our methodology page, and how we make money is described in our affiliate disclosure.

Accuracy and prices

Specifications and prices change without notice. Every page shows the date its price was checked, but the figure you see at a retailer is the authoritative one. If you find an error, tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it.

Not professional advice

Our automotive content discusses diagnostic procedures, coding and repair workflows. It is general information, not a service manual. Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's published procedures and safety instructions. Incorrect coding or programming can damage a vehicle's control modules. You are responsible for the work you perform.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the content, including purchase decisions, repair outcomes or lost profits.

Intellectual property

Text, scoring tables and original charts on this site are ours. Manufacturer product images remain the property of their owners and are used for identification with attribution. You may quote short excerpts with a link back; do not republish pages in full.

Third-party links

Outbound links, including affiliate links, lead to sites we do not control. Their terms and privacy practices are their own.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
